Experimenting with Wine and Food: Crab Cakes

Chef Patrick Moran has a fantastic crab cake recipe. He makes it for our Christmas eve celebration and has helped me learn the recipe. Pat typically goes to Pinot Grigio or Moscato for a pairing.  We will experiment with these and a few others on January 11, 2019.

Wines: We tried a variety of Rose wines and then tried a Pinot Grigo.  Pat was right.  That was the best pairing. I serve the crab cakes with a bright aeoli and corn salsa.  These flavors made the Pinot Grigio come alive, a perfect compliment.
