Virtual Wine Tasting Events - Spring 2020
COVID 19 Virtual Wine Study events
Event #1: March 24, 2020, 3:30 - 5:00 PM CT
Jan Pitzo, Dianne Lazear and Beth Dailey met using ZOOM for this trial run. We all brought our own wine and sipped, analyzed and talked. It was SO good for my soul.
We decided to meet once a week and extend the invitation a little further.
Event #2: April 3, 2020, 2:00 - 3:30 PM CT Merlot
Karen Barr and Beth Kost will be joining the group. Everyone is encouraged to select a Merlot wine of their choice and indicate their choice on the mind map below. We are also responsible for our own appetizer matching the wine.

Event #3 April 17, 2020, 3:00 - 4:30 PM CT Pinot Noir
Penny will join the group. The wine varietal is Pinot Noir. We are also responsible for our own appetizer matching the wine. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the 2 New Zealand Pinot Noirs. They were both fantastic and complimented my Salmon burger and and sauteed mushrooms.

Sally Scott joined our group. How fun is that.

Spanish Red Virtual Wine: Garnacha Tasting: May 1 2020 by Beth Dailey
I absolutely loved the Garnacha I got from Wine.com. It was elegant, well balanced, nice baking spice and red fruit. I want to order more. 2016 Vina Zorzal Malayeto Garnacha from Navarra, Spain. The least favorite was the Garnacha from Evandria. Dianne loves the Gracino from that producer but not the Garnacha.

We were suppose to begin our exploration of the same wines but it took a little longer than anticipated to find wines and then get them delivered to 4 different states. Exploring Riesling was fun. The othr fun thing is that Claire Dailey joined the group. Welcome Claire!
